Here's what Anthony Rose has written for St. George's September Magazine.....

Dear friends,

29th August was the tenth anniversary of my being inducted as Vicar of St George's. It seems incredible that ten years have gone by. When we first came to look at the parish our children were only young. Mark was about to start secondary school and the girls were still at primary school. Now Mark has graduated, Katy is about to go to university having worked for the last few months, while Alice will be sitting her GCSE's in a year's time. I have to say that when I was inducted I had no idea how long we would be in Benfleet. I also have to that that is still the case!..... To find out more click here..

Stranger on the Shore

23rd June saw the launch of Anthony Rose's book Stranger on the Shore'. It's his story of inner healing which speaks of the effects of parental break-up when he was a child and how he faced up to the need for healing later in life. He shares insights gained over the years into some of the many factors that shape us as people and how he believes we all need to understand ourselves better if we are to be truly renewed by God.

From the foreword by Bishop David Pytches: "I believe the mix of problem and solution in such a personal story would be appealing to anyone. It is a very personal story told in a reflective rather than directive way."
